In this introductory session, you will learn what Empowered Sexuality is and how you can get it. Consider the following:

• Are you 100% happy with your sex life?
• Do you enjoy sex for yourself—or is sex something you do to satisfy another?
• Can you ask for what you want—or do you struggle with knowing what you want?
• Do you feel sexually alive with erotic energy—or do you struggle with a low libido?
• Are you fully present when you are sexual with another—or do you check out during sex, waiting for it to be over?

Our sexuality is pure energetic potential and when we own our sexuality, we experience vitality, aliveness and deep connectivity with ourselves and our partners.

Unfortunately, we live in a culture in which women are separated from their sexuality at an early age. Whether through family, religious, or media messaging, many women do not know how to be in a healthy sexual relationship with themselves, let alone a partner. Negative experiences such as sexual abuse and assault can further detach women from their sexuality. 

As a sex abuse survivor and “recovering Catholic” who was raised in a conservative mid-west family, I know well the pain of separation from my sexuality. For many years, I avoided sex, distanced my husband and jeopardized a really wonderful marriage. Even worse, though, was the profound loneliness and disconnect I felt as the result of being shut down sexually.

Through a process of healing and fiercely reclaiming my sexuality, I discovered the great gifts of pleasure, sexual agency, and vitality. Once I took the controls over my sexuality, I not only could enjoy sex on my terms, I became far more confident in all areas of my life. I also opened up to the flow of connection and experience a greater sense of belonging and engagement with life.

Having felt the power of owning my sexuality on my own terms, I knew I had found my calling and I now dedicate my life to sharing this gift with others. As a Sexologist and Certified Intimacy and Sex Coach, I lead others through the process of reclaiming their sexuality: doing so is my joy and passion!
